Our Vision

At Primavera Mentoring we pair adults with youth in Pinellas County communities to create caring and compassionate mentoring relationships through:

Biblical Encouragement     |     Tutoring and Homework Help     |     Life Skills and Vocational Skills

Recreation    |    Healthy Fellowship

It all takes place in weekly, on-site programming.

The Facts Speak The Truth

Children who have a positive role model through mentorship are more likely to improve their academic performance, make better decisions, have more self confidence, and have a better sense of belonging. Positive, regular activity with an adult, over the course of even one year, makes a big difference.

Our ultimate desire is to show these youth that they have a faithful Father in Heaven whose love for them is immense and boundless. Join us as we love, help, and serve our neighbors who need to be poured into by people just like you.

The commandment to love our neighbor is prevalent throughout Scripture. As a matter of fact, it appears in the books of Leviticus, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Romans, Galatians, and James. These youth are growing up within miles of our church. They are quite literally our neighbors. We have the opportunity to serve them this very week.

“And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

- Matthew 22:39

Our God is called the “helper” (Psalm 10:14) and the “Father” (Psalm 68:5) of the fatherless. One of our callings is to be more like God (Matthew 5:48). God loves and comforts these children, and we can do the same.

“...to you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless.”
- Psalm 10:14b

We see that Jesus came to serve and not be served (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:48), and that he loved children. Thus, we do the same.

“but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”” - Matthew 19:14
